If you have read the other two posts in this catergory about my ankle then you know what this will be about. So I got my shot in my ankle they said if I feel no pain then that's bad and if i feel pain that's good because that means it is nothing inside my ankle that is being bothered. I have felt no pain since the shot but I have decided that I don't want to go to my appointment because of what they are going to do for the next step since having no pain is bad. I have started tumbling again which probably isn't the best decision but so far everything is going well. I got all my skills back that I've had before and there is still no pain even when i'm tumbling. I was talking to the owner of my gym that I tumble at which is Step Ons. Stephanie was telling me that if Bougee (one of the teams) gets a bid to go to Summit in Florida that I can join that team and go. Summit is the biggest competition for all teams that aren't Senior Level 5. I really hope they get a bid so I can go to Summit 2 years in a row.

For the ones who read my first post this is the continued part to it. My last appointment I went to a different doctor. He decided to give me a shot with cortisone in my ankle. I AM DEATHLY AFRAID OF SHOTS. As soon as he said that he may give me an injection I started crying. He said that in the time between I see him again that if it doesn't hurt that I have to get surgery. This surgery would remove the scar tissue that it's my ankle from my fracture that I had. If it does hurt then they would have to re evaluate to see what it is. So far it hasn't been hurting which kinda freaks me out. I can't cheer til late March which is upsetting because I love tumbling.

As most of you know my ankle has had some history. I injured it in December of last year but didn't tell anyone til March. The reason I did this is because last year for Step One my team made it to The Summit. It has always been a dream of mine to go there and i figured if my ankle was hurt that I wouldn't be able to compete. We did pretty well at Summit not going to lie. Well as I was saying so I didn't tell anyone til a long while later First they told me it was just a sprain and that I had tendinitis. I sprained my deltoid tendon. This tendon is very rare to sprain since it's on the medial part of your ankle and it is not very rare to roll your ankle in the matter to hurt that side. So then I started doing rehab for it. Along the path or rehab it started to hurt worse and we checked it and got an MRI for it. Well well well look at that I have an Avulsion Fracture in my medial malleolus. I got in a boot and stuff then got it off. They told me I was fine.., haha they thought wrong. Turns out it was still fractured. I got a cast and crutches. Crutches are TERRIBLE. Oh and a reminder now we are getting into early december like last month december. We got another MRI after my cast cams off to see if I have still have a fracture. Good news and Bad news. Good news is I don't have a fracture anymore which means no surgery. Bad news is now I have a new injury in my ankle. I have a contusion in my Talus. As my doctor stated "I don't like to say this but uhh your bone could be dying." Yeah we're probably all thinking the same thing. "Dying bone??" "Could be dying what you mean?" Yeah so I don't think he knows what he is talking about. My last appointment was yesterday. He told me "Brooke, I don't know what to do with you. I have done pretty much everything I can but yet you are still having pain. So we may have to shut it dow again because I don't know what is wrong with it." After he said that we were like uh yeah no thanks not going to shut it down. So now I have to see a foot and ankle specialist to see what he has to say about it. I will tell you what that one says in my next blog see ya then!!
